West Village Condo on a Triangular Lot Launches Sales
Sales at 175 West 10th Street, once known as 130 Seventh Avenue South, have launched. After clearing hurdles from the community board and Landmarks Preservation Commission, the razed West Village site is now home to a pricey, "exclusive" condo building. (A press release describes it as "townhome living with the accoutrements of new construction"; make of that what you will.)
The BKSK-designed building has just five full-floor units, many of which come equipped with private elevator access and outdoor space. If one private space isn’t enough, the 3,000 square foot penthouse—which is, improbably, already in contract—boasts a whopping three. Each home has oak floors, steel-framed windows, Calacutta Gold marble counters, and lots of head space with ten-foot high ceilings. The building is notable for sitting on a rather oddly-shaped lot, which the architects have clearly worked around.
The building also has on-demand concierge service and a ‘virtual’ doorman. Pricing will begin at $6.6 million and the penthouse is in contract for around $10 million.
