Vacation Rentals to Inspire Your Summer Travels

Summer is here, if you’re still dragging your feet making those vacation plans, here are three stunning properties from around the world that will inspire you to get out of town ASAP.

So round up your family and friends (or go solo), and get moving—whether it’s to far-flung countries or the next town over, the important thing is to take a little time to recharge.

Dar Amizmiz, Marrakech, Morocco

This light-filled modern villa in Marrakech was designed by Imaad Rahmouni, a former colleague of Philippe Starck, and features ample indoor-outdoor space, including a pool that flows into the living area and a spacious yard. Featuring five ensuite bedrooms, a library, hammam, and private fitness room, the house accommodates up to 10 people, making it a serene North African getaway spot.

Santa Teresa, Costa Rica

Stay in the aerie of a Floating House by Benjamin Garcia Saxe (which we’ve showcased as a House of the Day), and you’ll feel like a kid playing in a treehouse high above a jungle canopy. Located by the beaches of Santa Teresa, a surfing hotspot, the house is made up of three connected “pods” that offer breathtaking views of the coast and the jungle, a short walk to the beach, and an infinity pool. The Floating House sleeps up to seven people.

Vaison-la-Romaine, France

This charming, bright Provence villa built in the 18th century, once a vineyard farmhouse, was recently reimagined by designer Meilin Bristiel and architect Joel Schiltz. The cozy three-bedroom home is decorated with a mix of antique and flea-market finds, and features a pool, shaded gardens, office, mini gym, a petanque court, and a separate guest house with two additional bedrooms. The property, which offers grand views of the country and the nearby medieval town, can accommodate up to 10 guests.
